To be honest, David, I do not remember. Every poem that I have for this month has existed as a snippet in a note on my phone. I’ve just been editing them, sometimes adding more, and then putting them up. I’m fairly certain that one was originally jotted down months ago, and I think it had more to do with the concept of expectations not matching reality. I don’t really know where the death imagery came from.
