To a T

tempt and tease

Tempting fruit

an invitation to imbibe

the sweet,

let juices drip down the chin

and smile with red-stained

teeth and tongue.

Tempestuous wind

may blow over straw houses

and leave those ladies

to shiver in the midst of the elements

in a storm

that threatens to never cease.

Temperate land

promised a welcoming hand,

and an offer of forever,

though it’s no better, really,

than anywhere else

full of false oaths and assurances.
