Finches
rest here
among the snow
on the evergreen branches–
tranquil.
This post was inspired by a painting that is available on Artvee, a site that houses a collection of free-to-use, public domain images of fine art. These images, which are sorted by category and also searchable via their built-in search engine, are curated by the Artvee team from collections released to the public domain from various museums and libraries. I also featured art from Artvee on “Corvids and Coins, or Crow Box.”
Image used: Pyrrhula pyrrhula, Pyrrhula pyrrhula europaea (Vieill.) by Johann Friedrich Naumann (German, 1780 – 1857) found on Artvee
Loving the birds and greenery in the poems these last few days. Just a hop, skip, and jump away from spring!

I know. I didn’t realize how much I was looking forward to it until I noticed how much I have been writing about it.
